2-Day Open Water Diver Course (Intensive)

Embark on our 2-day intensive scuba diving course, designed for time-conscious individuals eager to explore the underwater realm. As this is an accelerated program, students are expected to have a competent swimming proficiency, being able to swim 400m using any stroke within 8 minutes in ocean.

The Open Water Diver course is the world’s most popular scuba program and has introduced millions of people to the world beneath the waves. The Open Water Diver certification allows you to dive to a maximum of 18m unlocking your access to 70% of our ocean planet.

The Open Water Course consists of three main stages:

• Knowledge development (online study through the eLearning platform) to understand the basic principles of scuba diving
• Confined Water training sessions to learn and practice scuba skills in shallow, calm environment
• Four ocean dives with your highly qualified scuba instructor and grant and you’ll be granted the most sought-after certification in the dive industry!

Exclusions

• You must have access to own vehicle. Due to the location and schedule of the course, you will not have time to access public transportations
• Cost of Dive Medical (if required), some medical conditions may affect you from diving. For example, heart disease, asthma, or epilepsy. Please inform us prior to reservation if you suffer from any medical condition that may affect your diving

Pre-Course Requirements and Important Information

• Online Knowledge Development: All online modules plus one online final exam must be completed before your course starts. Failure to adhere to all of the pre-course requirements found on the course overview page (including completion of any online training or E-learning) will result in cancellation of the course. No refund will be given, and rebooking will be at full cost.
• Photo for certification: Upload a clear image of your face to your eLearning training profile
• Swimming: You must be able to complete a 400-meter swim within 8 minutes and 10 minutes tread/float test. 
• Fitness to Dive: You must review Dive Medical Requirements and Fitness to Dive information prior booking our courses. If you have answered "yes" to any question on your dive medical form, you are required to provide us with a signed document, stating that you are "fit to dive" from a medical practitioner before your course start date. Please email us a copy of your diver medical at least 7 days prior to course commencement
• Age: Minimum Age is 12 years. All students under 18 years of age will require parent/guardian consent at the beginning of your course.

Note: students aged 12–14 must book a Private Course at $2,200 (covers up to 2 students).

• At Simple Dive, we run courses without minimum participants; if a boat dive is changed to a shore dive, you may keep the boat ticket as credit or receive an $80 refund — this won’t affect your certification.
• What you need to bring: Sunscreen, Swimwear, Towel, Drinks and snacks
• The course must be complete within 180 days of the original start date.
• Divers must visit the shop to collect their gear between Thursday and Friday prior to Day 2 of the course.
